'Pleasure & Energy: A Memory Of The Culture' is a two-part musicological DJ mix made in homage to the cities of Chicago and London, with a spiritual emphasis on the voices of Frankie Knuckles and Andrew Weatherall respectively. Though the mixes play in the continuous style of a DJ mix, they both feature songs that come in highly edited and deconstructed form, as well as NEVEREVER originals on both sides. The two mixes are composed of songs, samples, loops, and sound FX from dozens of records + assorted audio from documentaries, feature films, news segments, interviews, and college lectures, forming something akin to a loosely-told documentary in audio form.
